This blog is to introduce you to our Digital Customer Portal Programme and what that actually means.
The Digital Customer Portal, aka DCP, is a Council wide Digital Transformation Programme that puts our customers at the centre of designing our online services, which will focus on improving our customers Digital experience, and also improving the way our staff interact with our back office systems. We want our customers to be able to interact with a wide range of Council Services via a single familiar platform that is simple to interact with where they can receive updates, regardless of the department the work is associated with.
The DCP will replace the current Customer Contact Portal and provide the opportunity to include many more services that are currently not digital. As with many organisations, we have many individual line of business systems that in some cases provide the same or similar functions resulting in duplication of costs for the same capabilities. The DCP Programme will provide shared functions across all business areas leading to an improved customer experience and reduction in system costs across the Council.
